ONGOING TCA EVENTS AT Lloyd Shaw Dance Center

Lloyd Shaw Dance Center [Map], 5506 Coal SE (not the one-way Coal), Albuquerque, New Mexico. Located two blocks south of Central; 2nd block east of San Mateo, between Central & Zuni. Please no street shoes or shoes that leave marks on the dance floor, per venue manager's request/signage.

TCA Old Town Gazebo Milonga, "Tango por la Tarde," Sunday, August 12 , 7:00-9:30pm. 8/12 DJ: Matt Mateo. Free event. 2nd & 4th Sundays from late Spring through early Fall; may be adjusted for Kellys, workshop & holiday schedules. Check latest news to confirm dates/times.

Old Town is in the NW quadrant of Albuquerque. & is bordered by Rio Grande Blvd on the west, Mountain Rd on the north, Central Ave. on the south. From Santa Fe/North: I-25 south to I-40 west; exit Rio Grande Blvd; south on Rio Grande (stay in your left lane) to Mountain Rd. Veer left onto Romero St. Parking is usually available around the Plaza.

Adapted Tango Teacher Training Fundamentals, Sat/Sun August 18-19 in Albuquerque. Training with founder Dr. Madeleine Hackney on Saturday, August
18, 8:00am-5:00pm and Sunday, August 19th, 12:30-5:30pm
(14 hours). This
teacher training is designed for dancers and dance instructors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, fitness instructors and personal trainers interested in sharing Argentine Tango with older adults and adults with Parkinson’s. Registration: $400; full-time students $300.
