UPCOMING TCA EVENTS & NEWS
TCA is seeking nominees for our 2022-23 Board of Directors. We need you! Any current Club member may have their name included on the ballot. Cut-off for nominations is November 5, 2021. The election is November 19, 2021.
Our new home for milongas and practicas is the Albuquerque Square Dance Center (ASDC), 4909 Hawkins St. in Albuquerque 87109. ASDC is near I-25 and San Antonio/Ellison. ASDC Website
Please note: ASDC requires everyone who enters the building to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. TCA will require that all attendees show proof of vaccination for every event. Proof can be in the form of the original COVID-19 vaccination record card, a photocopy of the card*, or a picture of the card on the attendee's cell phone. Mask wearing is also currently required. * (Perhaps leave a copy in your shoe bag.)

Amilonga Tag Sale, Sunday October 24, 3:00-5:00pm at 10709 Santa Monica Ave NE (87122). Buy, sell or trade tango shoes, clothes and accessories. No entry fee. Amigona will provide space, racks and tags. Sellers bring clothes on hangers, shoes, or anything else tango related, and are responsible for their own transactions and need to be present or delegate a representative. Amilonga only provides the space. Vaccination required. If you have not been to an Amilonga event, please bring your vaccination card. More info and to RVSP
Special Post-Festival Amilonga at Scalo, Monday, November 8, 6:00-9:00pm (doors open at 5:30pm) at 3500 Central Ave SE 87106 in Albuquerque. Hosted by Amilonga. DJ: Kipp Chynoweth. SCALO in collaboration with Amilonga will host a Post-2021 Albuquerque Tango Festival Milonga and Dinner. SCALO has been exclusively reserved for this event. The Amilonga dance floor will be expanded to fill the covered patio. Masks are not required on the outdoor patio. Tickets can only be purchased online at this OpenTable link. Reservations are required and seating will be handled on first come first serve basis (the seating option on OpenTable does not ensure where you will be seated). Amilonga suggests that you arrive at 5:30pm to choose your table. This event will not be open to walk-ins and is a (fixed price) dinner and dance event; there will be no tickets for just dancing.
