UPCOMING TCA EVENTS & NEWS

Our home for milongas and practicas is the Albuquerque Square Dance Center (ASDC), 4909 Hawkins St. in Albuquerque 87109. ASDC is near I-25 and San Antonio/Ellison. ASDC Website 

Please note: TCA currently requires that all attendees show proof of vaccination for  every event. Proof can be in the form of the original COVID-19 vaccination record card, a photocopy of the card*, or a picture of the card on the attendee's cell phone.
* (Perhaps leave a copy in your shoe bag.)

TCA Old Town Gazebo Milongas, "Tango por la Tarde" usually on 2nd & 4th Sundays (May-September), 7:00-9:30pm. Free outdoor event at the Albuquerque Old Town Plaza Gazebo. Please leave a tip in the tip jar to help us offset DJ and other costs.

Tardecitos de Tango, Sunday, August 14, 3:00-6:00pm at 101 Valley Drive 87501 in Santa Fe. Hosts: Fer and Julie. DJ: Fer. Vax event. Park along Bishop's Lodge road, away from the NO PARKING signs or park in the lot on Murales Road where Zozobra is burned, overlooking the ballpark, then walk a short block down the hill to the venue. Please change from your street shoes into your dance shoes in the mud room at the entrance. More info

Amilonga at Canteen Brewhouse, Saturday, August 20, 7:00-9:30pm at 2381 Aztec Rd NE 87107 in Albuquerque. DJ: Sohrab Soltani. An honor system $5 donation in the tip jar is requested to support the DJ, cost of the dance floor, and the venue. Please tip your servers generously. Facebook event

Milonga Aldea, Sunday, August 21, 6:30-9:00pm at Aldea Community Center, 3 Nuevo Milenio 87507 in Santa Fe. Hosted by Stephanie & Fer. Practilonga @ Aldea, Wednesday, August 24, 6:30-8:30pm at Aldea Community Center, 3 Nuevo Milenio 87507 in Santa FeHosted by Stephanie. Twice-monthly on Wednesdays. A practilonga is in between a practica and a milonga. All levels welcome. Meg-a Milonga, Friday, September 30, 7:00-10:00pm at 2300 Calle Halcon 87505 in Santa Fe. Hosted by Meg & Teddy. DJ: Elizabeth. Outdoor, Vax event. No RSVP required. Bring friends, and food or drink to share (wineglasses provided). "Carpool if possible; parking is limited. Please park in specified spaces or along one side of Calle Halcon on the same side as our house. Practice shoes are suggested for wood deck floor." More info

Albuquerque Tango Festival 2022, October 27-30 at the Albuquerque Convention Center, 401 2nd St NW 87102 in Albuquerque, a new venue with more lodging options. This event is limited to those fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Website

Día de los Muertos Amilonga, Monday, October 31, 6:00-10:00pm at M'tucci's Bar Roma, 3222 Central Ave. SE 87106 in Albuquerque. Hosted by M'tucci's Bar Roma in collaboration with Amilonga. DJ: Simona Faro. Music starts at 7:00pm. Dinner & Dance event (no drop-ins). Tickets available online only (link coming soon). Reservations are limited and required. Ricardo Vidort lived in Santa Fe with Ewa Kielczewska during the last year of his life. Ewa worked for seven years to create a comprehensive website about this unforgettable milonguero. The project may be viewed here.
