ONGOING TCA EVENTS AT Lloyd Shaw Dance Center

Lloyd Shaw Dance Center [Map], 5506 Coal SE (not the one-way Coal), Albuquerque, New Mexico. Located two blocks south of Central; 2nd block east of San Mateo, between Central & Zuni. Please no street shoes or shoes that leave marks on the dance floor, per venue manager's request/signage.

Old Town is in the NW quadrant of Albuquerque, bordered by Rio Grande Blvd on the west, Mountain Rd on the north, Central Ave. on the south. From Santa Fe/North: I-25 south to I-40 west; exit Rio Grande Blvd; south on Rio Grande (stay in your left lane) to Mountain Rd. Veer left onto Romero St. Parking is usually available around the Plaza.

Chacarera class with Paul & Ludmilla, August 30, 7:30-8:00pm at Lloyd Shaw before the Milonga. Fun and easy to learn. We’ll do a dance after the
announcements during the milonga. Chacarera is one of the most famous
folklore dances of Argentina. People dance it during fiestas and also as a
break at many milongas.

Important News: Kellys is now under new management and they have agreed to
continue our long standing tradition of dancing at Kellys two Sundays a month. TCA has reached an agreement with the new owners of Kellys as follows: Milonga attendees will spend $8 minimum per person on food/drink, or those who choose not to order may pay $8 to the server.
